Master Workshop On New Technology

The 15, 16 and 17 February in Conakry (Guinea), GRID-Arendal in partnership with TMT, PRCM and the Guinean Ministry of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Maritime Affairs conducted a series of workshops around new technologies to combat IUU fishing activities and reinforcement of the licensing process in the industrial fisheries sector.

Local authorities were highly involved in the event, which also received strong interest from the various stakeholders involved, leading to discussions in support of the design of the next phase, which involves training and targeted capacity building in 2022.

We thank our partners for this great event and are looking forward to the upcoming activities building on the positive momentum highlighted in this local video coverage.
